Moved Member Stirling, seconded Member Bringins and resolved:

That the Limehills/Centre Bush Community Development Area Subcommittee accept the apologies.

Resolution

Moved Member Stirling, seconded Member Bringins  and resolved:

That the minutes of Limehills/Centre Bush Community Development Area Subcommittee meeting held on 15 March 2018 are a true and correct record of that meeting.

7.1

Council Report

Record No: R/18/4/9549

 

Community Partnership Leader (Michelle Stevenson) and Councillor Frazer presented the report.

 

Ms Stevenson advised the purpose of the report is to provide an overview of key issues across the Southland District, as well as high level local issues from various Council units.

 

Ms Stevenson informed the report highlighted various issues of interest including:

 

§  3 Waters Review

 

§  Freedom Camping

Councillor Frazer queried Members of any issues with freedom campers in the township and if so to report to Council through the Request For Service system.   Councillor Frazer added staff are collating information on areas of concern

 

§  2018 Long Term Plan and Policies

 

§  Representation Review update

Ms Stevenson encouraged members to read the summary document and make a submission to the proposal.

 

§  Dog Control - successful amnesty run between 12 February 2018 to 13 April 2018 with fifty three dogs being registered during this period.

 

§  Update on income and expenditure with budgets currently running on track.

Moved Member Bringins, seconded Member Stirling  and resolved:

That the Limehills/Centre Bush Community Development Area Subcommittee:

a)            Receives the report titled “Council Report” dated 23 April 2018.

Councillor's Report

 

Councillor Frazer advised that the Rural Connectivity Group representative, Caitlin Metz (Engagement Manager) addressed the recent Council meeting regarding mobile blackspots and broadband connectivity in the Southland area.

 

 

 

The meeting concluded at 8.06pm                       CONFIRMED AS A TRUE AND CORRECT RECORD AT A MEETING OF THE Limehills/Centre Bush Community Development Area Subcommittee HELD ON THURSDAY, 17 MAY 2018.
