That the minutes of Te Anau Community Board, held on Wednesday 1 May 2018 be confirmed as a true and correct record of the meeting.

Submission from the Te Anau Community Board to the Southland District Council Initial Proposal for the Representation Review

Committee Advisor, Jenny Labruyere was in attendance for this item.

 

The purpose of the report was to ratify the Te Anau Community Bard’s submission to the Southland District Council’s Initial Proposal for the Representation Review.

 

 

Resolution

Moved Member O'Loughlin, seconded Member Matheson  and Resolved;

That the Te Anau Community Board:

a)            Receives the report titled “Submission from the Te Anau Community Board to the Southland District Council Initial Proposal for the Representation Review” dated 24 May 2018.

 

b)           Endorses the submission of the Te Anau Community Board to the Southland District Council initial proposal for the Representation Review.

The Chairperson, Member Cockburn reported on matters with which she been involved since the Board’s previous meeting, these included;

 

·         Aparima Drive subdivision concerns  from local residents being followed up

·         Concerns raised in regard to free access to public toilets at Lions Park for events such as ANZAC day parade

·         Thanked staff for the significant work done to complete the Tourism Infrastucture Application

Councillor Kremer reported on the following matters from the Council tabled.

 

·         Representation Review and public consultation

·         Long Term Plan final approval process

·         Emergency Helicopter review and community support

·         LED streetlighting project almost complete for the Te Anau area

·         Lumsden Maternity Hospital final plan outcome is expected mid -June
